Experimental Sound for Visual Artists
I will participate in a two-day workshop/performance, Experimental Sound for Visual Artists and Filmmakers, at the Riverside Art Museum, February 16, 10 AM to 3:45 PM, and February 17, 1-4 PM. On Saturday I will lead a workshop on Audacity / Audio Fundamentals, and on Sunday I will give a solo sound performance and a group improvisation with Phil Mantione, David Casey and Daniel Eaton. The weekend will end with a panel discussion led by Riverside Art Museum Curator Kathryn Poindexter.
Re:Sound

2012 Overture: Live Soundscape
I will perform a live, improvised soundscape with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture as source material (among others), La Mer de Glace: 2012 Overture, with Dominique Kippelen, Lothar Schmitz, and Oguri (curated by Kio Griffith), West Los Angeles College Art Gallery, 9000 Overland Ave. Culver City, CA 90230, 6-9 PM, 6 September 2012.
Guest Lecture and Live Set
I will lecture and perform an improvised set of sounds and field recordings for Tom Krumpak’s graduate seminar in Drawing and Painting, Art Department, Cal State Long Beach, 20 March 2012.

Double Blind at Soundwalk 09
Using multiple sound sources, Double Blind director Glenn Bach will conduct a five-hour recording session using material from the group’s forthcoming MPRNTBL release, Signal Out, mixed with recordings captured in the East Village Arts Park, Soundwalk 2009, Long Beach, 3 October 2009.
