Using multiple sound sources, Double Blind director Glenn Bach will conduct a five-hour recording session using material from the group’s forthcoming MPRNTBL release, Signal Out, mixed with recordings captured in the East Village Arts Park, Soundwalk 2009, Long Beach, 3 October 2009.

The next release on MPRNTBL, Torreyana by Intense Situations of Peril, is online now. For Torreyana, ISOP reviewed Steven Soderbergh’s Traffic as inspiration, along with field recordings and other raw data collected in and around San Diego, California. MPRNTBL is a net label dedicated to quiet music, slow sound, lowercase, free improvisation, field recordings, analog noise, and collaborative soundscapes. Forthcoming releases from Aaron Ximm, Lisle Ellis + Marcos Fernandes, and Milwaukee Phonography.

MPRNTBL is a net label dedicated to quiet music, lowercase, free improvisation, field recordings, analog noise, and collaborative soundscapes. Visiting Artist Aaron Ximm will join the Milwaukee Phonographers Union in a live improvised soundscape of unprocessed field recordings, Wednesday, November 19, 2008, 3 PM, UWM Film, Fine Arts Cinema, MIT B91. MPU participants include Glenn Bach, Dale Kaminski, Seth Warren-Crow, and others TBA.
